  5. thoreau said this about owls.

“I rejoice that there are owls. Let them do the idiotic and maniacal hooting for men. It is a sound admirably suited to swamps and twilight woods which no day illustrates, suggesting a vast and underdeveloped nature which men have not recognized. They represent the stark twilight and unsatisfied thoughts which all men have.”

  6. wheee! i would love a calendar. here’s hoping i get picked!

ps – my brother LOVES the okkervil river print i gave him for christmas last year. great work. ; )

  7. Sweet! This a fantastic print man. I am a high school art teacher and this month we are printing a calendar in this manner ourselves. My students have been working on ideas for the image and we are actually setting up the layout just like yours. Ours will be slightly bigger printed on French construction aged newsprint.

We are doing this as a fundraiser for our annual Art Club trip to Chicago at the end of the year. I will certainly be showing my students this very fine example. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Onward and Upward,
    Jason

  8. Funny, I’ve always thought of owls as my soul animal even though im a morning person. I used to see one every morning walking my dog, it would stare right through me until I walked past. He followed me with his big eyes the whole way.

This would be great on my office wall. Nice work!!

  9. AWESOME! Ive never owned a screenprinted calendar before! Beautiful preview pic!! Wonder what the rest of the 11 months look!!

  10. This is siiiick. Ive never been a calender person – or one for forward planning in general – but I wouldnt mind having this hanging in my house for the next year. PICK ME. haha

  11. I posted the first comment, but for some reason it is linking my twitter, not my blog or email! But I guess you can contact me on my twitter or my blog (meghanwithanh.wordpress.com) if by some chance I happen to win! Thanks!

  12. Last year Nate, the voices in my head told me to pencil an outline on my bedroom wall measuring 12″ x 18″. They said, ‘ draw it craigio and it will arrive’ ????? What will arrive I thought to myself? Well now I know….
Please send me your lovely calendar and stop the voices in my head.
